People Do What Their C-Zone’s Tell them

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Because we all do it. We do what our C-Zones tell us to do. Some may be more subconscious and indirect, but in the end everyone will default to their C-Zones. The challenge is … Getting Outside of our C-Zones to learn and grow. Can you do it? Do you do it?

What are the C-Zones?

  • Compensation Zone
  • Comfort Zone

Most people will default to these two zones first. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It’s just human nature. People will fall back to their first two C-Zones. Thinking and Wondering:

  • Is this what I get paid / rewarded to do (Compensation Zone)?
  • Am I comfortable doing this (Comfort Zone)?

Something to Consider:
People are like Rubber Bands … You only know how strong they are when stretched.

There is a Third C-Zone

There are people that will be driven by Compassion. There are people that are very altruistic and go out of their way to help others. This is a great trait. We need more Third C-Zone people.

There is also a Fourth C-Zone

The Fourth C-Zone is becoming more prevalent in today’s world. The Fourth C-Zone is Cultural. In the modern world we need to be aware of and often adapt to other cultures. Those that adapt best will have more success and be able to get outside their Comfort Zone and perhaps extend their Compensation Zone.

Can Be Limiting

The challenge: It’s only when we Get Outside of our C-Zones that we learn and grow.
Can you do it?   Do you do it?   Do you recommend others do it?

What do you think?

  • Do you have these C Zones?
  • Are there other C-Zones?
  • How do you get Outside Your C-Zones?
