The Beginning of the End … of the Beginning

image It’s over!

2014 is almost in the books.

Time to Melt it Down and Re-Pour.

What did you plan to do in 2014? Did you get ‘em done?

What do you plan to do in 2015? How will you make sure you get ‘em done?

My 2014 was Tumultuous

imageI started the year working for one company and ended going back to where I started.

For those that haven’t been following along I went back to K2.

And I could not be happier. The energy, the passion, the products and especially the people. It’s great to be back at a company where great things are happening. You can feel it in the air. Sure, we have our challenges and challengers just like every other company, but knowing we have a great team, an incredible customer base and an amazing group of partners makes it fun, exciting and doable.

What Can You Expect From Me in 2015

In a word … More!  My Three Words for 2015 are Read, Write and Review. I’ve already got an editorial calendar in place (not finalized, but quite detailed). I’m always taking notes and ideas (on my Windows Phone in OneNote) of things I’d need to research and/or write. I’m always open for collaborative efforts too. Ping me if you have ideas you want to bounce around.

You’ll hear more about BYOA, Disposable Apps and Data Driven Processes from me in 2015.

I’ll also be working with my team to publish more on the topics above. We’ll be taking this on the road a bit more too. You’ll see me as the Chief Evangelist for K2 at a few events and you’ll also see our CEO and a few others from the leadership team at events for forward thinkers.

2015 is going be an incredible year for both technology and the people that use it. Think Productivity.

Find Me Here: You can always follow me and contact me on Twitter @jshuey or connect via LinkedIn, Facebook, or even Google+. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing what we can do together.

Corollary - What Can I Expect From You in 2015

This is a big ask and one I don’t take lightly. I expect a lot from myself and to be honest a lot from my friends and family.

I expect you to continue to call me out on my posts, points and other things I put out there. There are a few people that have not been shy to do this. Please keep doing it. It makes me think and I really appreciate people commenting and pushing me. Keep ‘em coming. Yes, I’m talking to you Karl, Dan, Aaron, Michele, David, Kevin, Phil, Marti and Martin, Joe, Kevin, Rob and Rob, Molly, Erica, Shelly, Sean and Sean, Brian, Joyce, Brad, Margue and so many others. Keep ‘em coming!

One thing I already expect is to continue to be inspired, challenged and entertained by some of my favorite people in and out of the Social Media sphere. Some of them are listed below. By the way … by entertained I mean this in a very good way. The people I’ve mentioned above and below are some of the best, brightest and in CBuck’s case the most prolific producers of content. If you aren’t following the folks mentioned perhaps 2015 is the year to start.

  • Christian Buckley (aka CBuck) – Amazing Posts. Start Reading them now. As you will see they’ll keep coming!
  • Vala Afshar – Always great content to get me thinking.
  • Dan Schawbel and Maria Elena Duron – Proof that the younger generation has the passion, energy and smarts to make a huge difference.

Of course, I will be working a lot with the K2 team as well as our customers and partners to continue to Think, Learn and Grow in 2015. As mentioned above I’m always up for collaboration. Even if it’s just to bounce a few ideas around. Ping me when you are ready.

It’s Beginning!

Come with me, will you.

Always glad to be part of any group that includes you, Jeff. One of my most cherished lessons since becoming self-employed is the realization that surrounding ourselves with "pacers" and accountability cheerleaders is a vital part of our success.

It's a fringe benefit I could have never foreseen, but one I would never relinquish, having experienced it.

Best to you in 2015. Let's put a dent in the universe. :)
DUDE! Seriously how can I not call you out or call you or pull you up on the Breakthrough radio switchboard?

You're part of the family now and they only way you get out is through dying ;) ( haha forgot to tell you that before you signed on )

My ONE word for 2015 is ...well you will have to come read my post of that and I'll publish it this week.
