I got to thinking about this as 22 of us spent a recent Sunday with many of the US chapter presidents and the US board to consider what and how we could support Microsoft partners more effectively in 2018 and beyond.
And, no … I wasn’t watching the movie Ted, although there are some pretty funny scenes to consider.
I was thinking about the Partner to Partner efforts we have been working on. (Tweet This)
Where partners help each other to augment their offerings, share opportunities, and generally support customers on a broader basis. This is at the core of what the IAMCP does.
In case you don’t know … the IAMCP is the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners.
The IAMCP is a partnering organization that can help other partners do more.
The tag line of the IAMCP is …
Connect. Learn. Grow.
And, in that context the IAMCP can be the Thunder Buddy for partners.
I don't mean to make light of what a Thunder Buddy is and why they exist. Nor am I saying that partners are afraid … of lighting, thunder, or anything else.
“As a smaller company its imperative to have like minded partners and our IAMCP chapter facilitates introductions, sharing, and collaboration with other companies so that we can go to market together.”
Ted Green, @efgreen
Founder, Green IT Consulting and IAMCP member
However, what I am saying is …
The IAMCP can play the role of a Thunder Buddy in turbulent times.
- The IAMCP members are connected to each other.
- They help each other learn.
- And, they help each other grow.
Have you called upon an IAMCP member to be your Thunder Buddy?
If yes … we want to hear from you.
