If you have looked at the IAMCP Join Us Membership page and were confused this post may help you. The simple rule is … There is one base price (for the US) with members. Microsoft Blue Badge holding employees can join for free.
There are effectively two options for membership (in the USA):
- $195 – Tier 1 and and Tier 2 memberships
- $0 – Microsoft employees with a Blue Badge
As the President of the IAMCP Seattle chapter I want to make it as easy as possible to understand the way you can get involved. My contact information is below. I am always open to hearing from you and helping you.

We think this is the best $195 you’ll spend all year. Think of it as a lunch plan where you get to meet partners, share ideas with your peers, and grow your business
The price is just the entry point. It should not be a barrier to entry. I encourage you to dig in and get your money’s worth. We have a dedicated, passionate, and savvy group of leaders and partners that want to help you Connect. Learn. and Grow.
I think David Gersten, Western Region Director for the IAMCP sums it up best. He

The Easy Button
There are effectively two options for membership (in the USA).
- $195 – Tier 1 and and Tier 2 memberships
- $0 – Microsoft employees with a Blue Badge
There are different Tiers for voting and non-voting rights. Don’t let that confuse you. See my simplified descriptions for voting and non-voting members below.
All of these are for the US. The rules may vary by country outside the USA.
- Tier 2 Voting Member – For Business Owners and Employees of MPN members
(Microsoft Partner Network) - US Tier 2 Non-Voting Member – For Employees of Partners
- US Tier 2 Microsoft Member – For Microsoft employees
- US Tier 2 Community Non-Voting Member – NEW! Community Members – Those that are not MPN members, but work with / want to work with IAMCP members.
These might be an oversimplification, but the intent is to make it easy to understand EVERYONE pays $195, except Microsoft employees.
