Sometimes the Journey IS the Destination

Last weekend we had a bold goal.

We planned on riding 300 miles in 3 days.

From Duvall, WA to Tekoa, WA

Tekoa is on the Washington - Idaho border.

Duvall is the start of the Snoqualmie Valley Trail

Tekoa is the end of the Palouse to Cascades Trail

Did we make it?

Read on.

Did we count on a Heat Wave?

Nope.

Did we give it a valiant effort?

Absolutely!

This is how it started ...

The Crew in Duvall - Day 1

The Plan - From Duvall to Tekoa - 300+ miles of off-road fun
Starting on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail
Ending at the eastern end of the Palouse to Cascades Trail

This is how it ended (for me)

The 2nd Flat in less than 5 miles in 109'F heat ... I'm out!

Here are a few pics from the ride.

Fun Discoveries

  1. WATER - Like kids at a water park. We found potable water at the 136 mile mark. Thanks to eagle eyed David ... he spied the sign that made us all smile and act like kids as we beat the heat.

  2. Cadence Sensor
I lost my cadence sensor in March 2021 on this trail. I knew roughly where I lost it based on where the sensor stopped working. I knew it was in a low traffic area on the top of Rye Pass. More on why we know it's a low traffic area below. Trust me when I say it. Low and behold ... I looked and I found it!

Odd Factoid: I lost my replacement cadence sensor at the 21 mile mark on this ride (just past the Renslow Trestle). If you find it ... I'll give you a nice pack of Hubba Bubba and some caffeinated gels.

  3.  Local Legend Status - David Treadwell OWNS it on the aptly named Sand Route

  4. Beverly Bridge ... Not Quite Ready, but close. We'll be back in September!

Thanks to Al Beals, David Treadwell, and Rahul Sood for making this trek a grand adventure.

Did we get to where we planned? Not really.

Did we get to where we expected? Maybe.

Because ... Sometimes the Journey IS the Destination.

It reminds me of a recent university assignment I had to complete. At first, I was just focused on finishing it quickly, but as I worked through the steps, I learned so much along the way. It made me realize that sometimes the journey of tackling a university assignment help is more important than just getting the grade at the end. The process itself helped me grow and understand the subject better

"Sometimes the journey IS the destination" is a powerful reminder that the experiences, challenges, and lessons we encounter along the way are just as important as the final goal. In both personal and academic pursuits, the process of growth and learning shapes who we become. For students working through a challenging course, like business communication, it's not just about finishing assignments or exams, it's about developing the skills that will serve you in the future. If you're feeling overwhelmed or need extra support, reaching out for help, like asking someone to online business communication class, can provide the guidance you need. In the end, every step you take whether with or without assistance adds to your personal and academic journey, bringing you closer to your destination with greater understanding and confidence.
